Workshops and Consultation

Saint Luke Institute offers formation and education programs and services to foster the healthy human development and well-being of men and women serving in ministry in the Catholic Church. Our expert speakers and facilitators are credentialed and experienced in the content area of each consultation or formation workshop, and we are committed to working with you to tailor workshops to your needs.

Our goal is to provide a learning environment that:

• Provides professional consultation services to bishops, major superiors and those who assist them
• Offers expertise in human formation to those responsible for the initial and ongoing formation of priests, deacons, and men and women religious
• Assists clergy and religious and those in formation to seek further self understanding and to provide pastoral resourcese for their ministry to others.

Popular workshops

Workshops will be tailored to the needs of the group. Topics vary and cover areas such as resiliency and Internet pornography:

• Walking into the Light: Realities of the Internet has been presented to dioceses and religious communities across the United States and in the United Kingdom. This workshop provides an overview of the Internet as a new pastoral vulnerability, identifies risk factors and provides access to solutions. We will adapt the workshop length and content to meet the needs of your group. (Internet presents new challenges, opportunities, South Texas Catholic, Oct. 2011)

• Critical Personnel Issues, April 15-17, 2012, is sponsored by Saint Luke Institute and The Southdown Institute, and will focus on Resiliency in Leadership. Download brochure.

• Fostering Psycho-Sexual Integration, May 13-18, 2012 and Sept. 30-Oct. 5, 2012.

• Surviving and Thriving will not be offered in 2012. For information on programs for women religious, please contact our education department.
