The Outpatient Services Department at Saint Luke Institute provides therapy for priests, sisters, brothers and laypersons seeking psychological help, spiritual integration and emotional healing within a Catholic faith context. We base our services on the same foundational principles that guide Saint Luke Institute’s residential work.

Our services include individual therapy for adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, recovery issues related to addictions, interpersonal issues, trauma and existential issues. We have significant experience with religious in formation and seminarians. We provide four ongoing, dynamic therapy groups which are especially effective for relational, personality and addictive problems.

The Outpatient staff includes licensed professionals in the fields of clinical psychology, pastoral counseling and clinical social work. A psychiatrist is available for consultation. Staff also can be available for supervision or consultation for persons in leadership positions.

We serve clients from the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Baltimore. We are conveniently located on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland, one mile inside (south) of the Washington, D.C. Beltway (Interstate 495).
