Education and Prevention

The professional staff of Saint Luke Institute provides workshops, consultation for leadership and online education in healthy initial and ongoing human formation, in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Topics include:

  • Spiritual and emotional maturity
  • Healthy relationships and boundaries
  • Celibate intimacy
  • Balancing self-care and ministry
  • Healthy integrated sexuality
  • Internet pornography
  • Resiliency and stress
  • Addictions
  • Intergenerational solidarity
  • Human development and transitions

Saint Luke Institute also manages the list-serve for the Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Vicars for Clergy, and provides opportunities for learning. In fall 2010, Saint Luke co-sponsored a successful symposium on the health of priests at The Catholic University of America

Lukenotes

Published four times each year, Lukenotes gives readers insights on key mental health, human formation and wellness issues through articles and case studies. Martha Keys Barker, LCSW-C, is editor. Martha is a therapist in the Talitha-Life Program for women religious.
