When possible, Saint Luke Institute offers candidate assessments
for men or women being considered by seminaries or religious communities.
We conduct the assessment on an outpatient basis over a two-day
period and give feedback orally to the candidate and the contact
person at the end of the assessment. Within two weeks the results
are summarize in a letter and sent to the candidate and the appropriate
person from the seminary or religious community.
The testing may include self-report tests (Minnesota
Multiphasic Inventory-2, Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory III
and NEO PI-R)
and projective tests (Rorschach Inkblot Test and the Draw-a-Person
Test). The Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence gives an
estimate of the candidate’s intelligence.
The interview process attends to the candidate’s background
history, mental status, mental health history and spiritual life.
