Comprehensive evaluation
An evaluation typically takes five days (Monday-Friday).
Our holistic approach to assessing an individual’s health includes physical, psychological and spiritual evaluations. During the week, the evaluee - a seminarian, priest or religious - meets with different professionals, including a psychologist, spiritual formator and physician.
The evaluation includes:
- Laboratory tests and physical examination
- Clinical interview
- Psychosocial history interview
- Spiritual assessment
- Psychological evaluation
- Neuropsychological evaluation
Feedback
At the conclusion of the evaluation, both the ecclesiastical superior and the evaluee receive comprehensive oral feedback and recommendations, and a detailed written report.
Saint Luke Institute's staff is committed to ensuring those who come to us receive the best care possible. An evaluation may result in a range of recommendations, including outpatient therapy, services at another institution or the residential program at Saint Luke Institute.
