Saint Luke Institute annual benefit honors Jane G. Belford;
raises $403,000 to meet critical needs of clergy and religious
The Saint Luke Institute Annual Benefit, held each October near the Feast of Saint Luke, is a critical part of our commitment to provide Catholic clergy and men and women religious with the psychological, spiritual and physical healing they need for a healthy ministry.
The 2011 benefit, held on October 17, honored Jane G. Belford, chancellor with the Archdiocese of Washington, with the Saint Luke Award, and raised $403,000 to support the critical work of Saint Luke Institute. The Institute strives to keep its services affordable and accessible, yet some religious congregations and smaller dioceses cannot afford to provide their members with necessary treatment. Funds from the Annual Benefit are used to help ensure that no clergy or religious is turned away because of financial need.
These are men and women who have given their lives in service to others. They need our help now. The generosity of our supporters provides them with compassionate, respectful and quality treatment at Saint Luke Institute that will help them regain a healthy life and ministry.
