We are grateful for the many graces received
through the goodness and the selfless service of our priests and
women and men religious.
They have educated us, ministered to us, and counseled us. We in
turn are called to give back to these wounded healers. They themselves
can, at times, be in real need of our help. As they have so often
represented the love of Christ to us, we now have an opportunity
to assist them on their journey from brokenness to healing and
new life. By giving to the Saint Luke Institute 30th Anniversary
Campaign you will help us provide the compassionate care needed
by these ministers of Christ and ensure the availability of the
Institute’s treatment and education programs for years to
come.

Since it’s founding in 1977, Saint Luke Institute has been
and continues to be important resource for the Church in the U.S.
and beyond. It provides quality, professional healing services in
a Catholic environment. It has assisted more than 5,500 individuals
with a remarkable success rate of 80 percent returning to an active
and productive ministry. The Institute also provides workshops for
thousands of clergy, seminarians, and religious in dioceses and religious
orders in the U.S. and abroad. To touch profoundly the life of a
single priest or religious is to affect the lives of hundreds, perhaps
thousands, of individuals whom they will serve in the future. Committed to meeting the urgent necessity to grow
in response to the Church's needs, the Institute's Board of Directors
has launched
a campaign to raise significant funds. We have identified over
$6 million in needs to fund the Institute’s future ministry
and undertake critical renovations to the facility. Our goal is to
increase
our endowment investments to offset the rising costs of charitable
care and immediately address renovation concerns.
As no priest, deacon, or religious is ever turned
away from the Institute for a lack of funds, the Institute annually
provides
approximately
$1 million in charitable service and fee reductions. Despite the
declining numbers of priests and religious in the U.S, the demand
for the Institute’s ministry has increased and cost of treatment
is significantly more than what dioceses and religious congregations
can afford.
The Institute is grateful for the support of many
dioceses and religious orders especially its home diocese, the Archdiocese
of Washington,
who is strongly supportive of Saint Luke Institute in general and
this campaign in particular. We welcome all gifts in support of
this important campaign.
