saint luke benefit
Saint Luke Institute Annual Benefit is October 15, 2012
The Saint Luke Institute Annual Benefit, held each October near the Feast of Saint Luke, is a critical part of our commitment to provide Catholic clergy and men and women religious with the psychological, spiritual and physical healing they need for a healthy ministry. Invitations were sent in early September, and tickets may be purchased online.
This year's event is Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. at the Apostolic Nunciature.
Honoring Bishop Paul S. Loverde, Bishop of Arlington
Most Reverend Paul S. Loverde, Bishop of Arlington, will receive this year's Saint Luke Award, in recognition of his support for consecrated men and women religious and diocesan clergy.
Helping Those who Help Us by Providing Affordable Care
Priests, sisters and brothers have been there for us at some of the most significant moments in life. They educate our children, comfort us when we are sick and lonely, and bring our faith alive. They have been there for us. Now, we need to be there for them, to help them get the compassionate, quality care that will help them regain a healthy life and ministry.
Saint Luke Institute strives to keep services affordable and accessible. Yet, many congregations and smaller dioceses cannot afford to provide the treatment and care their members need. Funds from the Annual Benefit are used to help ensure that no clergy or religious is turned away because of financial need.
Saint Luke Award
Each year, Saint Luke Institute honors an individual whose professional life or charitable works embodies the ideals of the Institute: the rebuilding of the spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual life of clergy and men and women religious.
